• Course Objectives: To build consistent, structurally sound welds and give students total control over intense cutting and fusing tools.

• Learning Outcomes: Cut heavy steel tubing to exact angles; lay down a structural, continuous weld bead; cut smooth curves out of steel plates with a plasma torch.

• Tools & Materials: Mild steel square tubing and plates; MIG welding machines; shielding gas cylinders; plasma cutters; angle grinders; welding clamps.

Rules

• Rules: Auto-darkening welding helmets must be worn by everyone in the bay; verify the grounding clamp is directly connected to the workspace; clear all flammable items from the area.
