• UV unwrapping mechanics: seams, density tracking, and layout packing
• Introduction to Physically Based Rendering (PBR) channels
• Baking mesh maps (Normal, Ambient Occlusion, Curvature)
• Material channel creation: Base Color, Roughness, Metallic
• Layered texturing: adding procedural dust, dirt, leaks, and wear
• Creating tileable environmental textures and trim sheets
• Setting up basic material shaders inside rendering engines
• Managing texel density across different asset scales
Course Objectives
• Flatten complex 3D objects into clean UV layouts with matching texel density.
• Paint realistic materials using layered procedural effects.
• Construct functional physical shaders within render viewports.
